This includes the long- and short-term as well as the ad hoc planning. To do so, zedas®cargo combines the planning data of the route and the use of resources with current train running information. The calculation, based on intelligent algorithms, is done continuously and in real-time.
The actual data gathered during operation are automatically entered into the orders and transferred to the billing module. The invoicing to customers and partners can be made in a transparent, fast and efficient manner. Automatically updated staff time accounts considerably simplify the payroll accounting. Processed data can be transferred to third-party systems upon request by using the suitable interfaces.
The solution is a powerful tool for the identification of cost drivers and improvement potentials along the entire value-added chain. All the information for target/actual comparisons, re-calculations, statistics and key performance indicators is available in an automated manner and immediately after the rendering of the service.
Mobile applications for tablets and smartphones are a modular part of zedas®cargo and simplify the flow of information and data in the company. Important business processes in the field, such as the train preparation, the damaged carriage management or the recording of actual times for the settlement can be processed on a mobile device. Employees can complete their tasks independent of the central control centre promptly and on site. They minimise time consuming consultations, records and the related error sources. The mobile application can be used off-line and allows the user to work independently without a permanent data connection being required.
