The Neuss Düsseldorfer Häfen GmbH & Co. KG (NDH) order zedas®asset. In this way they include the maintenance management system for vehicles and railway systems into the already established zedas®cargo solution for logistics. One agreed on integrating further interfaces to be properly connected to merchandise planning and control system and the financial accounting.
Due to the linkup of the logistic and maintenance procedures NDH will be able to more effectively coordinate the business processes in the future and improve their performance consequently. The cooperation in the field of railroad disposition and workshop will be increased by the coherent data platform and will result in a considerably improved method of operating.
The following potential benefits have been identified:
- synchronisation of the railroad disposition and the maintenance operations (e.g. deadline scheduling / fixing malfunctions of vehicles and facilities)
- automatic matching of mileage data resulting from train rides with rolling stock and other components which are relevant to monitoring (e.g. wheel sets)
- implementation of the obligation to produce proof originating from the “EBA Allgemeinverfügung” dated to 23.12.2009 which concerns the documentation of the history and the maintenance of freight rolling stock wheel sets
- avoidance of interfaces attributed to shared databases
