Hamburg Port Authority (HPA) commences live operation of zedas®asset

01.04.2008

After a short project run time of just seven months the zedas®asset software solution will be deployed in operations at Hamburg Port with effect from 31 March 2008.

All 860 tracks and 900 sets of points have been recorded now that the introductory phase of the kernel system has been completed. All the points and the vast majority of the approximate 350-kilometre track are already available in zedas®asset following their direct input.

The launch of zedas®asset means that, with immediate effect, malfunctions will be fully recorded and any resulting orders generated, processed and simultaneously exchanged with the commercial SAP system via an interface.

A major improvement in working efficiency, transparency, planning safety and cost control will be achieved in future on account of a clear display of the system status. In addition, the Hamburg Port Authority will have at its disposal an excellent instrument for the reliable provision of the legally required information on the current technical state of the system to the German Railway Supervision Authority.
