zedas®cargo impresses with smart features for rail freight transport
Munich, 06/05/2025 – From June 2 to 5, transport logistic once again became the international meeting place for the transport and logistics industry. ZEDAS GmbH was one of around 2,700 exhibitors presenting solutions for rail logistics and asset management at the Berlin-Brandenburg joint stand.
With over 70 expert meetings from 12 countries, the ZEDAS stand attracted more international interest than ever before. At three live demo stations, ZEDAS experts showcased the latest developments in zedas®cargo and zedas®asset – including the brand-new AI-powered staff scheduling feature, which was presented for the first time and drew strong interest from visitors.
zedas®cargo: Plan more efficiently – think automatically
The new AI optimizer for staff scheduling in zedas®cargo Long Haul significantly simplifies a time consuming processes in rail freight transport. Duty rosters that previously took up to two days to prepare can now be generated fully automatically – in just a few minutes.
The software takes all relevant factors into account: qualifications, rest periods, absences and travel times from home or hotel to the place of duty. The result: over 90% time savings, fewer non-productive transfers, significantly reduced overtime costs and a noticeable boost in productivity. At the same time, the planners' experience can be mapped directly in the system – for sustainable, reproducible results.

In addition to the new AI feature for staff scheduling (integrated into zedas®cargo Long Haul), the ZEDAS team also presented its complete digital solution for rail freight operations.
