New CTO at ZEDAS

New CTO at ZEDASZEDAS GmbH has appointed Mario Krautz as its new Chief Technology Officer (CTO). He succeeds Christoph Baum and takes responsibility for the company's technological development starting March 2026.

Mario Krautz brings extensive experience in software development and technology management. Most recently, he served as Head of Engineering at Rheinus Logistics. Prior to that, he held the roles of Chief Technology Officer and Chief Product Officer at 21st Real Estate GmbH. His work has focused on IT strategy, digital transformation, and building and leading engineering teams.

At ZEDAS, he takes ownership of the continued development of zedas®asset and zedas®cargo — software products that support railway companies in digitalising their operations.

"The tech is impressive, but the people behind the code are the real secret sauce."

said Mario Krautz after his first days at ZEDAS.

With his background, he strengthens a company that has been developing software solutions for the rail sector for more than 25 years — and continues to evolve them.
