ZEDAS Summit 2025 – Driving the Digitalization of the Railway Industry

On April 3–4, 2025, ZEDAS GmbH hosted the ZEDAS Summit in Dresden. Around 90 railway industry professionals – including representatives from railway operators, public transport companies, and maintenance and infrastructure providers – gathered at the Dorint Hotel to exchange insights on trends and technological developments in digital railway maintenance and rail logistics.

The two-day user conference centered around personal dialogue: the direct exchange between users, partners, and the ZEDAS team provided practical insights and fostered the joint development of innovative solutions. The event offered an exclusive platform for expertise, best practices, and forward-looking technologies.

Interactive formats and technological insights

The hands-on workshops and Insight Circles attracted particular attention – covering topics such as RFID-based component tracking, mobile applications for workshops, AI-driven logistics planning, and the next generation of infrastructure maintenance. Participants actively contributed their own requirements, helping to shape digital processes in a collaborative environment.

A behind-the-scenes look at the "engine room" of ZEDAS technology was another highlight. Key focus areas included the integration of modern cloud technologies, new UI/UX concepts, as well as enhancements in security and performance across the zedas® product suite.

One of the most anticipated moments was the unveiling of the new zedas® Copilot – an AI-powered chatbot designed to provide intelligent support to users within the zedas® suite.

Customer proximity as a key success factor

Beyond the presentations and technical forums, the Summit intentionally provided ample opportunities for personal interaction and networking. Participants particularly valued the direct connection to the software provider: for many, close collaboration with ZEDAS is not only critical for the efficient use of solutions but also a driving force for joint innovation.
