15th International Railway Fair
ZEDAS GmbH will once again be represented as an exhibitor at the joint stand of the Berlin-Brandenburg capital region at TRAKO 2023.
ZEDAS offers the leading and integrated product suite for the digitalisation of railway processes in logistics and asset management. More than 30 years of railway know-how flow into our products zedas®cargo and zedas®asset - and is thus your innovation engine for railway-specific workflows. With intelligent software for forward-looking logistics management and future-oriented maintenance.
zedas®cargo is the end-to-end solution for efficient logistics management for shunting and long-haul transport. The system integrates all actors inside and outside the railway company and maps all typical processes of rail freight transport completely digitally - from planning to operative daily business to invoicing (from order to cash).
zedas®asset is the integrated solution for the efficient management and maintenance of rail vehicle fleets and rail infrastructure. Data obtained in the operating process is available for maintenance planning. The condition and load data as well as recorded damage and fault reports enable reliable, load-dependent maintenance planning. Based on the comprehensive database, zedas®asset creates condition forecasts of the vehicles and infrastructure, which in turn form the basis for well-founded investment decisions.
zedas®asset Touch helps to digitise the paper-based maintenance documentation previously used in the workshop. Repair and maintenance orders are documented directly on the tablet in an ECM-compliant way. During the processing of orders, material consumption and the completion of maintenance measures are simply reported back on the mobile device. The intuitive user interface, assistance-based workflows and checklists make it easy for even inexperienced workshop employees to enter all the necessary data without errors. The goal is to digitise maintenance documentation in simple steps from the very beginning. The entries are directly available in the asset management system zedas®asset for follow-up orders and operational releases. There are no media discontinuities or duplicate work and no congestion during order feedback.
Benefits:
With the augmented reality (AR) application, the maintenance technician in the workshop is guided step by step through the maintenance process. Clearly defined workflows specify the exact sequence and positions at which the work steps have to be done. The AR application also displays measured values, limit values or circuit diagrams that belong to the components that can be processed. The workshop employee receives further support in the maintenance process through technical illustrations, documentation, videos and videos that are displayed in the context of the maintenance task. The digital assistance system also guarantees that the maintenance technician is specifically pointed to safety-relevant components in order to meet the high safety standards that apply in the railway industry. The AR application helps to increase the reliability of service and maintenance processes and reduce the risk of errors.
Benefits:
To reduce manual input processes in logistics management, ZEDAS has developed an AI-based wagon number recognition for RUs in freight transport. As a key technology, the wagon number recognition was integrated into the Train Check app of zedas®cargo. Train Check is an easy-to-use app for paperless train dispatching directly on the train. If the camera is pointed at the wagon area with the UIC number, the AI automatically recognises and analyses the text characters and checks the recognised UIC number. No further symbols such as QR or barcodes are necessary for this. With the identified wagon number, the app then retrieves the keeper's technical wagon master data via the GCU Broker (TAF interface) and imports this into the Train Check app.
Benefits:
ZEDAS provides the leading product suite for the seamless connection of logistics management of rail freight transport (zedas®cargo) with fleet and maintenance management (zedas®asset). The automated information flow significantly reduces the need for coordination between the areas.
Data on the individual rail vehicles obtained during the operating process is available for maintenance planning. The condition and load data as well as recorded damage and fault reports enable reliable, load-dependent maintenance planning. Based on the comprehensive database, zedas®asset creates condition forecasts for the vehicles, which in turn form the basis for well-founded investment decisions.
The daily business of railway operations benefits from the increased availability and reliability of the vehicles. Railway production has access at all times to current information on the decommissioning / recommissioning of vehicles and on residual running values for deadlines. Transport tasks can be planned much more efficiently. Operations are less frequently impeded by waiting times or technically related disruptions.
